Thank you for considering Heritage Homesteads to build your new home. Outlined below are the easy steps we take to guide you through the decision making process.
1. Contact Us
Before we meet to talk about your project, we will need some preliminary information from you. Please use the New Home Questionnaire. Upon review, we will contact you to schedule an appointment.
2. Come Talk To Us
Every project begins with a conversation. Once we have reviewed your completed questionnaire, we will contact you to schedule a meeting. Come prepared with any drawings, sketches, example photos or other details you envision. We’ll review them with you in our office, explore options and answer any questions you have.
3. Estimate & Review
Following our initial meeting, we will provide a very detailed estimate based on our conversation. Heritage Homesteads will prepare some basic designs, if needed, to support and clarify the estimate. Once you’ve carefully reviewed the information, we’ll address any questions or comments.
4. Refinement
If you choose us to build your new home, a deposit of 2% – 5% of the total estimated construction cost is required. This deposit allows us to work on more detailed drawings. As the design is refined to meet your needs, the scope of work will be adjusted as required.
5. Activation
Once you’ve approved the design and scope of work, the contract will be written. The amount of the contract could vary from the original estimate due to changes you’ve requested during the design process. The plans, specifications sheet and contract will be signed by you and Heritage Homesteads – if a lender is involved, they will require a copy of these documents. Then, your new project will officially be underway!
